With over 35 years of combined water education experience, Links4Ed’s mission is to connect water organizations to their local teachers and students to help foster an understanding of California’s unique water systems.
Seeing the need for high-quality, California-specific environmental education, JS Strategic Consulting was created in 2012. The consultants are the innovators of custom educational programs designed around California’s Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. Its consultants carried out all phases of the education programs from development to book writing, professional illustrations, book printing, marketing, kit-making, and delivery to schools.
In 2020, JS Strategic Consulting was rebranded as Links4Ed to launch its new curriculum, A Snapshot of California’s Water. The swift changes and greater complexity of today’s world present new challenges and place new requirements on our education system. Links4Ed provides an essential resource with self-contained educational packets for productive learning about key topics of California water that are a perfect match for today’s educational curriculum.

Links4Ed consultants are also trained facilitators of Project WET (Water Education for Today), which provides environmental education that promotes the awareness, appreciation, knowledge, and stewardship of water resources. For over eight years, the consultants have organized and conducted teacher workshops and practicums that feature classroom-proven, hands-on learning activities that make water topics come alive for students. Project WET activities are correlated to the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards.
Jeanne has worked for over 20 years in the water industry and started the first water education program for the Kern County Water Agency (Agency). She retired from the Agency, working as a Public Information Consultant and assisting Sarah in the development and updating of instructional material offered to correlate to the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards for kindergarten through 12th grade.
Sarah’s background is in education, and she has taught 2nd through 5th grade students. She has been working for over 14 years as a Water Education Consultant for the Kern County Water Agency, where she educates thousands of local students about Kern County’s local and state water supplies, and the importance of water and its conservation. The program incorporates teacher workshops, curriculum materials, assemblies, classroom presentations, and student contests.
